On June 15, 2016, Ben Beeckmans was invited by the Kilimanjaro Mountain Club to talk about volcanic risk and volcanic assessment.

The event was organized by the Club’s secretary, Mr. Aat Vander Welt.

Dr. Beeckmans is a member of the club, and participates scientifically with the other  members informing about the Northern Tanzanian volcanoes and their potential risks.
